Wild Forest has announced plans for its Token Generation Event (TGE) set for the fourth quarter of 2024 to introduce the $WF token.

In preparation for the TGE, the Wild Forest team has been actively working on several critical components to ensure a smooth and successful launch including the development of the $WF token withdrawal system and the smart contract that governs the token amongst others.

According to an announcement on X, the team has emphasized the importance of transparency throughout the process and plan to keep the community informed of all significant milestones.

CEX and DEX Listing Considerations

One of the major factors influencing the token launch is the platform on which it will be listed. Wild Forest is currently in discussions with several top-tier centralized exchanges (CEXs) to secure a listing for the $WF token.

However, the team acknowledges the need to avoid delays and has stated that if negotiations with CEXs take too long, they will proceed with a decentralized exchange (DEX) listing.

This dual approach is designed to maximize the exposure of the $WF token whilst ensuring the event moves forward without unnecessary postponements.

Future Plans

Following the token launch, the team has plans to introduce a series of new features aimed at enhancing the gameplay experience.

Among the upcoming developments is a revised leaderboard system, which will introduce leagues designed to onboard new players whilst also rewarding long-term holders and competitive players.

Additionally, Wild Forest will implement an “Expeditions” feature, adding new strategic elements to single-player gameplay, and introduce “Guild Wars,” aimed at fostering competitive multiplayer interactions. The team is also working on an extended ranking and leveling system for units, which will further deepen the strategic gameplay mechanics.

These updates are part of a broader roadmap, which will be released in full after the TGE.
