One of the first Ethereum-NFT projects, CryptoKitties, is making its return as a game on Telegram called “All The Zen.”

This marks the first official product tied to the CryptoKitties brand since its 2017 release, serving as a preview for its larger relaunch on the Flow blockchain.

Dapper Labs, the company behind CryptoKitties, is using this opportunity to reintroduce the project as part of its evolving portfolio of blockchain-based games and products.

What is All the Zen?

In response to the rising popularity of Telegram-based games, Dapper Labs decided to launch All The Zen, a game featuring CryptoKitties on the messaging platform.

Unlike previous ventures, this game takes advantage of Telegram’s gaming mini-apps, offering users a simple yet engaging experience where players can hatch virtual eggs, eventually unlocking CryptoKitties and generating in-game resources.

The game revolves around hatching eggs, which yield Kitties that produce “Zen,” an in-game resource that can be spent on upgrades.

Whilst most popular Telegram games have relied on The Open Network (TON) blockchain, All The Zen operates on Flow—a blockchain created by Dapper Labs after CryptoKitties’ initial launch on Ethereum struggled with network congestion.

The game’s “play-to-eggdrop” mechanic lets players earn Flow-based rewards, serving as a gateway to the upcoming full relaunch of CryptoKitties.
